Random projects, ATC's, Altered Canvases and Books

Above is an altered book cover which has been made into an Advent calendar.  The squares are cardboard tiles from a memory game brought at the Warehouse, covered with paper, embossed frames and Christmas images.  The tiles are hung from fishing swivels and as each day passes they are turned to reveal the number of days left until Christmas day.

The front of the altered book has been made using plastic packaging to make a window and elements glued both to the inside of the plastic and onto the background behind it to give the illusion of depth.  The interior is made using a matchbox to make the shrine, German scrap, pieces of a wooden fan from the $2 shop, dominoes, magazine images, upholstery pins, paint, stamps, die cut chipboard pieces, rub-ons and tiles from old board game.

This used to be  plain old white noticeboard.  I covered it with book pages then modge podged serviettes over the top of those, then used various chipboard shapes, upholstery pins, ribbon and flowers to complete the look.
